Welcome to the headquarters of the Lost Somewhere Adventuring Guild! Here you will find the basic information about our guild's current dealings regarding various gaming efforts. While much of the information found here will remain relatively static over time, the active games details will be updated as appropriate.
Regardless of which specific game we play we do so as casual gamers looking to enjoy the content and mechanics (PVE and PVP) of said game. While we may schedule events, such as get-togethers, dungeon crawls, PVP, or in-game celebrations, we will never be anywhere close to the typical "raiding" guild. We don't require tests of loyalty, the rights to your first born (okay, maaaybe the third...), or embarrassing stories to keep you in line.
Having said all that, the core group of LS are all adults and the atmosphere can easily be defined as mature. As such we ask that all members be at 18 years of age to avoid any unpleasantries. NSFW content will be gated to ensure that if there are any members who don't wish to partake they won't be forced to.
As explained below we utilize Discord for the dissemination of dynamic content (such as announcements and events) and for community purposes (such as forums, live chat and Role Playing).
Multiple Games, One Guild
To keep things simple, and because our numbers are rather small, even though members may play more than one game, encompassing multiple player and single player, we still use a single Discord server. If, down the road, we need to move to multiple Discord Servers for the sake of convenience or improved quality of life we have a plan in place. All in-game guilds or clans run by Lost Somewhere Adventuring Guild will be linked to the aforementioned server. Discord tags and role groups will be used to organize content, announcements, and events).
Furthermore, depending upon the specific game, or those involved, some of the role groups and channels will be considered private and invite only. Private groups and roles mostly fall under the purview of the "core members" (those that have been around together in some form for over 20 years) that wish to showcase their work or have limited members for whatever reason.
There is a global application process found in the "Public" area of the Discord Server which covers each game. Additionally details on all in-game guilds are also provided for review. Once you are considered a member of the guild members ony/private areas will be unlocked.
Membership Rules
While there may be unique rules to specific in-game guilds or clans (such as classes or factions), which will be listed accordingly in Discord, there are still some baseline rules all members must acknowledge and follow. Those are listed below.
- Discriminations, hate speech, or any other form of dehumanization will not be tolerated.
- Members must join the Discord server. Participation in the community isn't required, however, we will use Discord for announcements, event scheduling, and so forth.
- We don't require everyone to like one another but at least be respectful to each other.
- We don't require group participation, however, if you sign up for an event we ask that you show-up or provide ample notice if you can't make it, emergencies not withstanding.
- Don't post adult themed content outside of designated channels.
- Follow the instructions from Staff and Command regarding guild related situations.
- Have fun, just not at the expense of someone else.
